Oggi ho deciso di parlarvi proprio di denim, ma in versione doppia, il double denim, un trend che spopola ormai da anni, ma che purtroppo è sempre stato sottovalutato.
L'hanno indossato icone del passato come James Dean, Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen, Debby Harry e Marilyn Monroe, oggi lo sfoggiano le it girl più cool e coloro che non temono il giudizio altrui.
Ma in cosa consiste esattamente il double denim, semplice, prendete una camicia o una giacca in jeans, abbinatela a gonne, pantaloni o shorts nel medesimo materiale ed il gioco è fatto.
Attenzione però, non sempre è così semplice, potreste ritrovarvi ad indossare un outfit stile Britney Spears e Justin Timberlake agli AMAs del 2001.
Per assicuravi la buona riuscita di un look total denim vi consiglio di tenere a mente queste piccole regole:
- giocate con i contrasti, non combinate mai denim dello stesso colore e con lo stesso lavaggio, meglio mixare chiaro e scuro, utilizzare diversi candeggi o addirittura osare con capi patchwork;
- associate silhouette diverse, se la camicia è attillata abbinatela e dei jeans boyfriend, se invece scegliete una giacca o una camicia over meglio utilizzare degli shorts o dei jeans ultra skinny.
Questo tipo di look si rivela adatto a qualsiasi situazione, da una gita fuori porta, fino ad un party in centro; volete sentirvi comode, a vostro agio e stupende?! Provatelo!
The denim, a fabric that from the fifteenth century up to the present has always ridden high. Its functionality, style and attitude make it a versatile fabric, suitable for everyday life, but also, especially in recent decades, an integral part of the fashion system.
Today I decided to talk about denim, but in a double version, the double denim, a trend that has been a big hit for years now, althought it has always been understimated.
It was worn by several icons from the past such as James Dean, Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen; Debby Harry and Marilyn Monroe; today it is shown off by the coolest it girls and by those who do not fear the judgement of the others.
But what is it exactly the double denim? Simple, take a denim shirt or jacket, pair it with skirts, pants or shorts of the same material and you're done.
Beware though, it is not always that simple, you may find yourself wearing an outfit resembling that of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at 2001 AMAs.
To be sure of the succes of your total denim look I suggest to keep these simple rules in mind:
-Play with contrasts, do not combined the same shades and washing, better to mix light and dark, use different bleaches or even dare with patchwork garments;
-Combine different silhouettes, if the shirt is tight pair it with boyfriend jeans, but if you choose an oversize jacket or shirt wear it with ultras skinny jeans or shorts.
This kind of look is siutable to any occasion, from a trip out of town, up to a party in the city center; do you want to feel comfortable, at ease and beautiful? You should try it!
