L'Art Issue di W viene pubblicata a dicembre per anticipare una delle più attese fiere d'arte moderna e contemporanea, l'Art Basel Miami Beach. Questa fiera viene realizzata dal 2002 grazie all'edizione originale, Art Basel, che si svolge a Basilea sin dal 1970. Dal 5 al 8 dicembre vi sono stati eventi ed esposizioni sparsi in vari musei e gallerie della città . Quadri, sculture, installazioni, fotografie, film e disegni; un 'immersione totale nel mondo dell'arte in una location altamente suggestiva. Infatti la maggiore sede espositiva è il Pérez Art Museum, a cui si accede direttamente dalla spiaggia. La fiera ospita opere provenienti da 250 gallerie internazionali, ed è molto importante sia per il mercato dell'arte e per la ricerca artistica. Gli oltre 4000 artisti esposti rendono la manifestazione molto eclettica e adatta ad un pubblico molto vario. Da segnare sul calendario per il prossimo anno! T.

Dal 2006 W Magazine ci stupisce con il suo numero di dicembre, la Art Issue. Sfogliandola entriamo in un mondo parallelo creato dagli artisti chiamati a collaborare con la rivista, tra quali ricordiamo Maurizio Cattelan, Ai Weiwei e George Condo. Stefano Tonchi, il direttore di W, ha rinforzato, sin dal suo arrivo, la presenza delle arti visive nella rivista. Infatti oltre al numero dedicato, possiamo trovare mensilmente grandi collaborazioni ed editoriali che ci presentano forti personalità dell'arte moderna. Per l' Art Issue di quest'anno sono state selezionate 5 donne: Yayoi Kusama, Catherine Opie, Karen Kilimnik, Emma Summerton e Marylin Minter, che hanno realizzato un ritratto della cover star, George Clooney, reimmaginandolo attraverso la loro anima artistica. In questo numero troviamo anche il servizio fotografico di Michael Thompson, incentrato sulle maschere di Jean Paul Gautier. Assolutamente imperdibile! T.

Since 2006 W Magazine amazes us with its December issue, the Art Issue. Flipping through it, we enter a parallel world created by the artists called to collaborate with the magazine, among which we remember Maurizio Cattelan, Ai Weiwei and George Condo. Since his arrival Stefano Tonchi, Editor-In-Chief of W, has reinforced the presence of visual arts in the magazine. Indeed, in addition to focused issues, we can find, monthly, great collaborations and leading articles that present us strong personalities within the field of modern and contemporary art. For this year's Art Issue have been selected 5 women: Yayoi Kusama, Catherine Opie, Karen Kilimnik, Emma Summeryon and Marylin Minter. They realized a portrait of the cover star, George Clooney, re-imagining him according to their artistic soul. In this issue we can also find Michael Thompson's photoshoot focused on Jean Paul Gautier's masks. Absolutely not to be missed! T.

The Art Issue is published in December to anticipate one of the most expected fair of modern and contemporary art, Art Basel Miami Beach, which is realized since 2002, thanks to the original edition, Art Basel that takes place in Basel since 1970. From Dec 5th to Dec 8th there were events and expositions scattered throughout various Miami's museum and galleries. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, videos and drawings; an ultimate immersion in the world of art from an highly suggestive location.
