Trasformazione.

Today's post is about tranformation, that such fascinating process which make something different from what he's supoposed to be. Is made by fantasy, imagination, by eyes which see beyond the horizon and minds who think Beyond the known. It's matter of something unexpected, new, unconventional. In the 1500's Milan, Giuseppe Arcimboldo had already given a wide demonstration with his pictures made up by fruits and vegetables, which defined (perhaps deformed) the characters of that art's pieces. Only after some minute your eye is able to get the effective essence of the painting, and to distinguish and recognize the real ingredients of the composition. Then you stop thinking at fruits and they look like colours and shapes again.

I'm curious especially when tranformation concerns forniture. To give objects a function which isn't the one they've been created for. Or a look which in not what we expected. To use pallet as tables; a bookcase as a shoe rack, for the ones like me who never know where to put all the shoes... Here you are some idea that I found searching on the net.

Even in fashion we see such real transformations. Source of inspiration of this post is in fact a photo that I saw on instagram, by Elle magazine, of a brilliant clutch which remembers the tipical eggs package. Of course I'm talking about Chanel which as usual has turned out surprising everybody, even after his last fashion show in his "supermarket". Transformation is also the keyword of a competition of Project Runway; in the USA edition I've been stunned by a dress entirely realized with blue plastic glasses, made hotter as much as necessary to be moulded like a clothing piece. It was incredibly theatrical.
Still surfing on the net I found out these creations, that widely represent what I'm talking about. Unconventional materials and images to which a new rule had been assigned. I'll show you some accessory:

Fashion is always moving, in continuous changing. It is the most variable dimesion, a play and an exchange of roles. Fashion is a wheel which turns, and every time a piece comes back bringing some new, is able to differentiate it from the past one. All comes back, it's matter of waiting and seeing with the same eye new and different things, or giving a new dimension to something which could seem "past". M.

Dr Martens siano

After much doubt I made a decision: let Dr Martens be. Although no longer a news, but a widely succesful fashion item, the Dr Martens have always fascinated but never convinced me.
On tall, slender women and models are beautiful, but they make chubby girls appear squatter, on me, well they have NEVER convinced me. I've tried them one, two, three even four times, but there was something wrong.
I've never cared about Dr Martens heavy-duty boots, they are not mine. Oxfords-like shoes are those of which I speaking about (mod. 1461).
One day I went to Belotti, a shoes store in my area, and A cute clerk, despite not having my size in the color I wanted, explained me that the model with yellow stitching is more rounded, it is just like the boot but without the upper part while the model without stitching has a form more similar to the classic shoe for men, it has a fainter profile. I tried them in a color that wasn't that I was looking for, and it has been love at first sight.
They have everything I like about Dr Martens and are free from everything that I did not like of the so well known model. They are comfortable, casual with a touch of refinement, typical of oxfords, which makes them able to coordinate with everything. They have the typical high plastic sole, the reinforced toe mask which gives them a slight touch of punk that render them a bit unconventional.
In short, for the uncertain, do not doubt and dive, they are a good purchase. They will be a great pass key suitable for any occasion and any outfit: to make a lively pair of high-waisted shorts and a crop top, as to play down a cutesy dress .
Mine? Low and totally black but never banal. I use them with everything and they replace my dears old and destroyed Clarks. S.

and Happy Easter to everyone
